Glenwood Springs

Shane's parents came in town and we headed to Glenwood Springs for a few days. Got up there on the fourth but crappy weather filled the sky. So we looked in local shops (not much) and drove around a bit. After dinner we watched a cool firework disply and we know a great place to see the fireworks from. The next day we headed up to Hanging Lake. If you go to Glenwood Springs this is a must see! And you have to do it early. We started the trail about 930 and there were a few people on the trail, not many in the parking lot. On our way back down around 1130, we passed gobs and gobs of people and there was no parking. You can enjoy the climb and views more without bumping in to people every couple of feet. The climb was about 1.2 miles long, so not too long, but all uphill. These three photos are of us just getting started.
